Background and Personal Life

Theresa Cain, 46, lived a life that, from the outside, seemed to be that of an ordinary suburban mother. She resided with her family on a 3-acre property in Ohio Township, Ohio. Theresa, her husband Steven Cain, 50, their two children Samantha, 20, and Ethan, 13, as well as her 74-year-old father, William Felton, shared a two-story, three-bedroom home built in 1990 which they purchased for $212,000 in July 2015.

The Cain family moved from Connecticut to Ohio prior to the incident because Steven Cain had an opportunity to work at Procter & Gamble (P&G). This detail was recalled by their next-door neighbor, Tricia Bosse, who described her initial meeting with the family and how they bonded over time.

Steven Cain was also known for being the lead singer of a local metal band named “Critical Khaos,” which played groove/thrash metal music…
