The Disappearance
On February 20, 2024, Jesse Vang called police to report that 3-year-old Elijah Vue was missing from his home in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Vang claimed he had woken up from a nap to find that Elijah was no longer in the house. This sparked an immediate search of the area by law enforcement and community volunteers.
As the investigation began, it was revealed that Elijah did not actually live at the Two Rivers residence. His mother, 31-year-old Katrina Baur, had brought Elijah to stay with Vang on February 12th, about a week before he was reported missing. Baur lived in Wisconsin Dells, over 150 miles away from Two Rivers.
