A Life Cut Short

Kaitlin Hernandez was a senior at Roosevelt High School, eagerly awaiting her high school graduation in May. However, her dreams were abruptly and brutally cut short. She vanished after going for a walk with a friend in her Northeast Side neighborhood on a Tuesday and did not return.

A Devastating Discovery

The distressing search concluded with a grim discovery: Kaitlin’s body was found late Tuesday night under a bridge on the 7600 block of Dell Oak Drive, in a drainage ditch and less than a half-mile from her home. Adding to the horror, she was found undressed and had been strangled, as confirmed by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office.
