Solomon Martinez, Colorado Man Arrested with Severed hand in his Pocket, Charged with Murder

According to law enforcement officials, a man from Pueblo, Colorado, who is believed to have murdered a woman and left her body in a creek, was apprehended with a severed hand in his jacket pocket.

On January 10th, the Pueblo Police Department received a report of a homicide and upon investigation, they found the lifeless body of an adult female victim in Fountain Creek. Solomon Martinez, aged 26, was taken into custody by the police on suspicion of committing first-degree murder in connection with this crime.

According to the arrest report examined by the Pueblo Chieftain, authorities discovered a plastic bag containing a human hand in the left chest pocket of Martinez’s jacket, which they believe belongs to the victim. Upon being questioned after his arrest, the suspect reportedly admitted to the police that he had been carrying the hand in his jacket for two days.

One of Martinez’s roommates initially alerted the police about a body in the creek.

According to arrest records, Martinez tried to enlist the help of his roommate, Joshua Mazzurco, before getting rid of her body.
