Sulpizio’s erratic behavior prompted the call to law enforcement, leading deputies to respond to the scene.
The Ambush
Upon arrival, deputies were directed to the Sulpizio home on Brookside Drive. As they approached, they encountered a chaotic scene. Julie Sulpizio was reportedly acting aggressively, and when deputies attempted to engage her, she concealed her hands behind her back, prompting one deputy to draw a Taser. Despite warnings, Sulpizio approached the deputy, leading to a tense confrontation.
As deputies entered the home, they were met with a hail of gunfire. Deputy Link was shot multiple times and trapped inside the residence.
