A Maryland Man, Jeremy Gentry, Charged in the Death of His Mother
On the evening of May 5th, 2024, a distressing scene unfolded in Fruitland, Wicomico County, Maryland. Emergency responders rushed to a residential address on Sand Castle Boulevard after receiving a report of an unconscious woman. Little did they know that this routine call would unveil a harrowing domestic tragedy.
The Grim Discovery
Upon entering the premises, first responders encountered a chilling sight — the lifeless body of 68-year-old Beatrice Kay Gentry submerged in the bathtub. Efforts to revive her proved futile, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Faced with this grisly scenario, the Fruitland Police Department wasted no time in escalating the matter to the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit.
A Son Suspected
As the investigation unfolded, a startling revelation emerged — Jeremy Gentry, Beatrice’s 48-year-old son, was identified as the prime suspect. The two shared the Sand Castle Boulevard residence, and further investigative efforts pointed an accusatory finger at Jeremy.
